My last week in Corralejo started with the trinity of core strength, paddling around lobos and doing the functional training at the gym in the evening.

On Tuesday we did another beachrace training at “El Burro”, only that this time the tide was high, and the messy onshore waves made for a nice shorebreak.

Our starts seemed to be a little chaotic.

On Thursday we did a beautiful tour on our roadbikes: 93km and 1500m altitude from Puerto del Rosario over Tetir, Tefia, Betancuria, Pajara and Antigua back to Puerto del Rosario. It turned out to be to best bike ride we had on Fuerteventura. The Road from Tefia to Pajara  (FV-30) is very well paved and there is almost no traffic.

On Friday the wind dropped and a swell arrived, which meant that we were able to surf Punta Helena with our Raceboards. The last two sessions were a worthy end for my time in Fuerteventura.

During these four weeks I paddled 200kms, swam 32km, did a lot of core strength and functional trainings and we did five bike tours. So overall the month was a huge success. Now I will have to continue the good training back home despite of the low temperatures. Next event will be the 10k race at the Suisse Nautic on February 18th.

Stay tuned for the videos of my time in Corralejo.
