During one of my last weekends here in Oman, I had the chance participate in one of the desert crossing adventures by @GuideOman. If you ever want to do a crossing, I can only recommend them. Their weekends are very professionally organised and the safety crew is top. We joined a trip to the Kamil part of the Sharqiya sands. A camp was set up around half an hour into the desert from which we started the driving on friday and saturday. Both days participants had the choice between an easier and a more difficult route through the dunes.
