With November already gone I concluded my first month of winter training, time for a short recap.
Overall statistics: I did a total of 39 trainings with a overall duration of 56 hours 51 minutes. Of those I paddled 17 times, with a total time of 25h39min and a distance of 204.37km (equals an average of 8km/h – on a 12’6). After that 15 sessions and 23 hours in the gym and the rest would be a few runs and swims.
The month started really well, with even the possibility to paddle in boardshorts.
It did not last long.. One week after this was filmed the first signs of winter arrived with some really wet and stormy weather. But I had the possibility to go to Konstanz and paddle around the Reichenau Island with Alexander so it was fun anyways.
Another week later winter came to stay. I paddled through a crazy session while experiencing changes from sunshine to snowstorm and back every few minutes. Despite all the equipment not every paddle training was on the water, I also had to do some sessions on my KayakPro Erg.
You can watch all the stuff in one short video:
Now I am looking forward to another month full of gym sessions and long paddles (and hopefully some cross country skiing) to work on the basics. The next event would be the 14km Testrace in Eglisau on the 16th of December.
